Our Directors
Joanna Kelly - Managing Director – MK Academy   
Joanna is a Human Resources professional. She has held director level posts at both KPMG and Pelican. Her experience and philosophy ensure MK Academy students are developed as individuals and offered the appropriate career path beyond qualification. Furthermore it means that the Academy’s training methods and resources respect and build on all current best practice.

Ian Mayer – Technical Director – MK Group
Ian is a graduate in technology and as a qualified teacher, he has been involved in education and training since 1990. Ian has a background in business development, growth, strategy and marketing and a profound understanding of the Internet, IT and telecommunication issues. Ian first started working with Internet and Multimedia Learning Technologies in 1995. He has also acted as an examiner for both GCSE and Advanced Level subjects and has worked for OCR, WJEC and AQA.

Barry Cunningham – CEO – MK Group
Barry graduated as a Civil Engineer. For the last 17 years he has focused on building and managing a very successful financial practice serving over 3500 clients. Barry’s area of speciality is Retirement Planning. In 2001 Barry founded Mortgage Keys Wealth Management (Authorised and regulated by the FSA no. 428734) where he retains responsibility for business development alongside his broader remit to the MK Group

Our Tutors
Ian Robertson CeMAP, CF
Ian is fully CeMAP and CF qualified. He has spent over 20 years in senior
management positions within blue-chip financial services organisations.
Today Ian concentrates on delivering CeMAP, CeFA and CII training to the general public and for companies such as Edward Jones, Prudential & Barclays.

Sandy Marshall CeMAP
Sandy is a qualified CeMAP Mortgage Supervisor and Coach. Sandy tutors Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice and Certificate in Regulated General Insurance. Her success in this area is outstanding with many delegates achieving Merits and Distinctions. Sandy worked for Halifax PLC for 25 years in various roles including Regional Trainer.

David Sharp CeMAP
David is fully CeMAP and CF qualified and like Ian has spent over 20 years within blue chip financial services organisations before establishing his own training consultancy. David focuses on providing financial services and business development training to companies and the general public.

Our Administration team
Patte Griffith – Jade and Patte ensure our students have have all the information and support they need to get the most from our programmes. Both Jade and Patte have worked with the Academy since its launch in 2005 and know the programmes available, processes and procedures inside out.
