The Certificate in Financial Planning (CF), the replacement certificate of FPC 1, 2 & 3 is offered by the Chartered Institute of Insurance (CII). CF is recognised and accepted nationally. It is required by individuals wishing to advise customers on investment, retirement planning and protection options.
The CF qualification consists of five modules:
- UK Financial Services, Regulations and Ethics (CF1)*
- Investments and Risks (CF2)
- Financial Planning (CF3)
- Retirement Planning (CF4)
- Integrated Financial Planning (CF5)
Why study for CF?
The industry needs you - Financial Services is subject to an acute skills shortage. The average age of financial advisors is around 55 so loss through retirement is a real issue. However growth predictions estimate that an additional 400,000 people will be needed by 2014 just to keep the sector going (Financial Services Skills Council 2006). The greatest demand and fiercest competition between firms will continue to be for qualified advisors.
The industry rewards commitment – A competent CF qualified advisor will write approximately £100,000 in year one. From then on self employed advisors are only limited by the level hard work and commitment they are prepared to put in.
Unlock your potential quickly – CF is a relatively short course allowing you to retrain and change careers quickly. Where appropriate, take advantage of the opportunity to meet with our strategic partner, Openwork, for an employment interview to quickstart your earning curve.
