The Certificate in Regulated General Insurance (CeRGI) offered by the Institute of Financial Services (IFS) is an accepted nationally recognised qualification as a prerequisite giving advice on general insurance products.  
The CeRGI qualification is a stand alone module which is assessed by a two hour, 100 questions and multiple choice examination.
